About us
We started off in a small building in the heart of Glendale, Arizona. It had been an Ice House and a Meat Packing Company. In fact, before Waylon Jennings was Waylon Jennings, he was a DJ when KVOW radio station was upstairs. If you stood down in the parking lot you could almost see him up there in the corner booth daydreaming about his future as a country and western singer-.
One day a very nice gentleman from the Arizona Department of Transportation came in and said they were making a right turn lane up at the corner by the school and they were tearing our building down. But FIRST they had to MOVE US.
We were located on Grand Avenue and we had GREAT drive by exposure. We weren't too keen on giving that spot up. But the State said we had to go so we painted our new address up on the building and off we went.
Turns out that was the best thing to happen to us.
One minute we were moving our stuff and the next thing we knew it was 6 months later. 2 days before Christmas Greg and I were weaving in and out of 42 cars to move around our lot. We’ve been off and running ever since!
And that little building over on Grand?
Well, the Glendale Historical Society stepped in and declared the property a historical building and it couldn't be torn down!
8 years later and guess whose address is still up on the building?!
Side note: The City of Glendale tore the building down in 2020.
We've got a brand new blog at the tail end of this webpage that we're sure you're going to really enjoy.
