2 year / 24,000-mile Warranty, whichever occurs first, months or mileage - You must maintain oil change records with receipts with date and mileage written upon the photocopied receipt. You are responsible for making sure the oil is changed at the proper intervals (500 miles/2 weeks and 3000 mile/3 months) and for all maintenance on your vehicle as found in the Vehicle Owner Manual. You must maintain the records for your vehicle for the entire 2 years/24k miles. You MUST bring ALL receipts, maintenance and this properly signed warranty to any future appointments with The Engine Builders.
OR 3 year / 36,000-mile Warranty, whichever occurs first, months or mileage - The Engine Builders will be responsible for the oil changes and maintenance on your vehicle. We will be responsible for doing the initial 500 mile/2 weeks oil change and an overall review of the installation at a cost of $130.00 and all subsequent 3000/3 months thereafter at a cost of $65.00. We will keep the records at our location and you may request them at any time. You alone are responsible for monitoring your mileage and you must call us prior to reaching the mileage or date to schedule your appointment. Please arrive on the alloted day between the hours of 9am to 12 Noon or 2pm to 4pm. You may not reschedule. You are responsible for any cost incurred as it relates to maintenance (for example, belts and hoses, etc.). If at any time you wish to withdraw from the 3 years/36 mile warranty or revert back to the 2 year/24 k mile warranty you must first notify The Engine Builders in writing 30 days prior to the next scheduled due date for your oil change or you will be considered noncomplaint and your warranty will be voided.
All notifications regarding rate increases will be mailed to the address on file.
Parts warranty through The Engine Builders warranty applies to the purchase of a fully remanufactured long block engine and must be installed in street legal automotive application. Engine upgrades require appropriate associated parts to ensure proper engine and transmission cooling and torque capacity, fuel/air delivery and emission controls [upgrade example: 305 engines replaced with 350 engine] and excludes AC Delco and Performance Parts. Warranty is non transferrable.
All newly installed engines must be broken in on a 10w40 Conventional oil
All engines require that you must do a oil change at 500 miles/2 weeks using whatever oil the manufacturer suggests except for Synthetic or Synthetic blends (you must use the Conventional counterpart) and every 3,000 miles after that at which time you can switch to synthetic oil if you wish
On 2004 and up Fords you must use a motor craft oil filter ~ Always
Do not follow the manufacturers recommendation on the miles
Warranty on oil leaks is 90 days
Warranty on exhaust leaks is 30 day
Warranty does not extend to the Exhaust Manifold. If warped, you will need a a new manifold at the Owner's expense
Continued operation of your vehicle after an issue has been detected WILL VOID your warranty
Do not allow the vehicle to RUN WARM OR GET HOT. Doing so WILL VOID your warranty
Report any and all oil or coolant issues IMMEDIATELY as failure to do so WILL VOID your warranty
Report any and all noises coming from the engine compartment IMMEDIATELY as failure to do so WILL VOID your warranty
If you have a problem or think you may have a problem, please, stop driving and notify us immediately. A smaller issue is much easier and less costly to fix
Warranty begins on the date of installation
The Engine Builders service replacement powertrain and performance parts limited warranty engines, engine components warranty is NOT transferrable and DOES NOT COVER:
Damage due to improper installation, negligence, alteration, accident, improper use, or any related to racing, track or competition. Proper use is discussed in the vehicles Owner's Manual
Coverage does not apply if the odometer has been disconnected or the mileage reading has been altered, nor if the speedometer is inoperable.
Damage caused by the lack of proper maintenance as described in the vehicle's original Maintenance Schedule/Owner's Manual, failure to follow TEB Maintenance Schedule intervals, or failure to use or maintain proper type and levels of fluid, fuel, oil and lubricants as recommended in the Maintenance Schedule/Owner's Manual or BY THE ENGINE BUILDERS.
Coverage does not apply if the vehicle owner fails to provide proof of proper oil changes and routine maintenance.
Warranty does not apply to failure resulting from accident, abuse, abnormal operation, failure to perform routine maintenance, or damages arising from inefficiency of parts (Carburetor, Distributor, Cap and Rotor, Plug Wires, Radiator, Water Pump, Air Cleaner, Radiator Hoses, Motor Mounts, Fuel Injectors, Coil Packs, Thermostat, Oil Filter, Spark Plugs, Sensors, Fan Clutch, Fan Blade, nor Cooling systems, Air Conditioning nor Emissions systems, Any and All items not included in our engine assembly, etc)
Seller makes no warranty of merchantability with respect to the goods sold under this agreement. All external parts will be warranted by the parts manufacturer, not The Engine Builders and the hourly labor rate will apply.
Only OEM approved parts and equipment should be installed on your vehicle.
High performance add on’s are not covered and will void warranty.
Keep all receipts and BRING THEM WITH YOU to all future appointments at The Engine Builders
Damage as a result of OVERHEATING, contamination or LACK OF LUBRICATION will not be covered. Heat tabs have been installed on every motor that will identify if an engine has been overheated. Removal of or tampering with heat tabs is STRICTLY PROHIBITED.
Damage as a result of inadequate fuel delivery or ignition system failure will not be covered.
Damage caused by a turbocharger, supercharger, nitrous oxide, or similar product which has not been approved of by The Engine Builders will not be covered
Racing engines and/or their components will not be covered
Use of components in excess of maximum torque specification will not be covered
Damage as a result of modification/replacement of torque converter that is part of transmission assembly will not be covered
Loss of time, inconvenience, loss of use, or other economic loss will not be covered
Vehicle's registered and normally operated outside of the United States will not be covered
This warrranty does not apply to any unit installed under the General Motor New Vehicle Limited Warranty
Under NO CIRCUMSTANCES will The Engine Builders be responsible for Oil or Oil Loss, Antifreeze or Antifreeze Loss, Towing Charges, Telephone Calls, Freight, Loss of Profits, Loss of Time, Loss of Use, Inconvenience, or other economic loss, Substitute Transportation while unit is out of operation, Fees incurred by the vehicle owner and their agents for the use of outside services, or other consequential damages.
All changes other than those specifically provided for in this warranty are the responsiblity of the vehicle owner
This warranty will only become effective when invoice for assembly and related services are paid in full.
DOCUMENTATION REQUIREMENTS:
The Engine Builders must be furnished with the purchaser's original repair order or sales slip, any and all oil change and maintenance record, and this properly completed warranty certificate at each appointment with The Engine Builders.
OBTAINING REPAIRS: The Engine Builder who initially installed the assembly/component may perform the repairs. You do not need an appointment to stop by The Engine Builders for an initial assessment, however, you may/will be required to return at a later date for any repairs. You MUST allow a REASONABLE amount of time for repairs following delivery of the vehicle to The Engine Builders place of business. The Engine Builders does NOT authorize anyone outside of our location to complete ANY repairs to the long block that we have placed in your vehicle. From the Valve Covers out are your responsibility. Should you make arrangements with an Independent Repair Facility you are responsible for the payment to the repair facility for any and all services rendered and you are not entitled to compensaton by The Engine Builders..
OTHER TERMS: The total of all benefits paid under this warranty shall not exceed the price you paid for the long block. This warranty covers only those engines that are marketed by The Engine Builders. This warranty shall be interpreted under the laws of the State of Arizona. All legal actions arising out of work performed by The Engine Builders including claims arising under this warranty shall be conducted only in courts located in the Town of Surprise, with the State of Arizona having subject matter jurisdiction. This choice of jurisdiction and venue is mandatory and not permissive, thereby precluding the possibility of litigation or trial in any jurisdiction or venue other than that specified herein. This warranty gives you specific legal rights as stated in the Arizona State Statute. The Engine Builders does not authorize any person to create for it any other obligations or liability in connection with these assemblies. Any implied warranty or merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose applicable to assemblies or parts is limited in duration to the duration of this written warranty. The performance of repairs or replacement is the exclusive remedy under this written warranty or any implied warranty. The Engine Builders shall not be liable for incidental or consequential damages resulting from breach of this written warranty or any implied warranty.
This warranty will only become effective when all invoices for assembly and related services are paid in full.
The obligations assumed under this warranty are specifically stated and are in lieu of all other obligations, warranties or guarantees, expressed or implied. By signing the buyer agrees that The Engine Builders will be be responsible for these charges.
Customer hereby affirms knowledge and receipt of a copy of this agreement and understands all provisions pertaining to this warranty.
If an agreement is not signed and dated by both the vehicle owner and The Engine Builders, then a warranty does not exist and a limited implied warranty is void.
